In an attempt to defuse my smoldering resentment after reading the race relations rants on metafandom, I was looking at adorable screencaps of Methos's ears in somebody's lj (can't remember the link) and made the following stunning discovery:

Josiah was on Highlander!!!!!*

There he was, in a screencap with Methos--yes, the picture was centered on Peter Wingfield's ears, which were backlit by sunlight and appeared to be glowing, but even in profile, I could recognise Josiah. I actually noticed him and started the Magnificent Seven squee before picking up on the glowing ears.

So to connect Highlander to the Nexus of Gay, you connect to Mag7 through Josiah, then to Sharpe through Harper Darragh O'Malley, then to LotR through Sean Bean. Damn, every fannish thing I've ever watched or read fic for shares at least one actor with another movie/show. I'm thinking of renaming the "Nexus of Gay" game
"Six Degrees of Sean Bean."

Also, back to the subject of Methos's ears... why is it that I never realised how adorable sticky-out ears were prior to starting "Gunslinger?"
