Haha! I, like everyone else on the internet, now have a livejournal, a place to babble endlessly about the things my friends are tired of hearing about, in a forum where people are free to ignore them if they get sick of my rants. I can now go on and on and on about fanfiction, anime, WWII airplanes, politics (at least, 1930s/40s politics, since I never get to babble as much as I want to in European History class), poetry, religion, English lit, and whatever. I can hear people fleeing now.
*ponders* What shall my inaugural rant be about? I know! Why people shouldn't be allowed to break up during Lent. You tell your girlfriend, "I'm sorry, but I really don't think my parents would react well to our relationship, and maybe we should break things off for a while until I've come clean with them about being bi, ect, ect." and then open the Bible/Book of Common Prayer to see things like:
I acknowledge my transgressions:
and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee, and thee only, have I sinned,
and done what is evil in thy sight
And so thou art justified when thou speakest,
and upright in thy judgement.
Behold, I have been wicked from my birth,
A sinner from my mother's womb.
And you feel like an absolute bitch. Because you know it's all true. If you were a stronger person, you wouldn't be ending an otherwise fairly decent relationship just because you're afraid of your family's reaction. But you're stuck between Scylla and Charybdis, and whatever you do, someone will get hurt. And you picked her instead of yourself--which is bitchy.
