lostcatholic to update my lj more often, I am obediantly doing so.
Don't you hate it when you're going running and it's so hot and humid that, a third of the way through your run, you realise you can't breathe, because the air is like wet wool? But you keep running anyway and you then get all dehydrated and headachey? *crickets chirp* Yes, I am the only non-marine stupid enough to run in this weather.
Let's see, other news... my parents are getting ready for TPS graduation (this involves complicated things like my Dad renting a tuxedo), and my sister called from New Mexico (briefly--apparently the entire state of New Mexico is "roaming" on Verizon's network) to complain about the weird civilians at their glider competition there. And then explain why they're all going back to Colorado Springs early, because of a mistake some maintenance guy made back in March that has rendered all their two-seater gliders unflyable. *eyeroll* I could tell y'all things about the Air Force Academy and the Navy Test Pilot School that would make you fear for the future safety of this country.
I, meanwhile, am supposed to be writing up a book proposal to send to Naval Insitute Press ("Dear Naval Institute Press: Yes, there have been previous books written on Civil War blockade running, but mine will be the only one out there that's not 200+ pages long and boring. Or from the fifties, and biased. Our out of print.") Instead, I'm going to take my dehydrated and asthmatic self and go to bed.
