Dear God, I've written over 21 motorcycle articles, counting the latest one for Classic Motorcycle Mechanics. Until I had to list them for my UVA grad school application, I'd never counted them all up before.
I'm particularly fond of the Stateside Column one for CMM, since I got the "we-request-that-you-send-us-an-invoice-for-x-amount-and-then-we'll-pay-you-for-your-article" letter from Morton's Motorcycle Media on Christmas Eve, saying that Classic Motorcycle Mechanic was going to pay me ₤80 for my swap meet article. Talk about merry Christmas.
And if Classic Motorcycle Mechanic left the mentions of AHMRA in the article, I can get a publicity bounty from them, too. Probably $80, since there are three pictures. Put together, that will almost pay for the GRE English subject test.
Also, is it just time-of-the-month hormones, or does "Travelling Soldier" by the Dixie Chicks make other people cry, too? That on top of finishing Randy Lee Eickhoff's The Fourth Horseman (the main character dies, tragically, and even though I knew it was coming from page one, the angst still got to me) had me absolutely sobbing. I must go read Meredith Bronwen Mallory's The Courtship of Maxwell J. Klinger again to counteract things with happy fangirl squee. Or, alternatively, surrender to the sobbing hormones and read "A Still Small Voice" again.

And by the way, I hate chocolate syrup in my room... I just never have the opportunity (or the boldness) to use it on you.

It's interesting how country music is more likely to be tear-jerking, patriotic, or both than other genres. Of course, it also tends to have more songs about Jesus than other genres, too.

Yup, makes me cry too. And I don't even like the Dixie Chicks very much. But I do like that song.
