Well, fuck.

I called my parents tonight (They'd emailed asking me too, and I needed to make sure the article on the Richmond Fairgrounds racetrack went through, so it can get polished up and on it's way to the Richmond Fairgrounds racers reunion) and my Mom (the only one home) told me that my Dad's half-brother died today.

Apparently, he got really sick Friday, and my Grandmother made him go to the hospital, but they couldn't fix things. Which is really scary, because only meningitus is supposed to kill you that fast.

So, needless to say, my family is pretty messed up right now. My Grandmother is, obviously, very upset, and my Dad (who I didn't get to talk to, because he's in Beaverdam with her instead of at home) has got to be as well. He and Barry were never all that close, but there are/were some serious unresolved issues there.

I'm going home (well, to Hanover County) for the funeral on Saturday, and Sarah may be coming back from Colorado breifly, if the Air Force will let her.

Talk about a way to suck the life out of J-Term.

[Edit] Sorry about the depressive problem-relating, btw. I don't usually do this, knowing how annoying it is, but. Yeah. This is sort of major.

My condolences. Family deaths always seem to be messy in one way or another.

Yeah, and unexpected ones are exponentially more messy.

Thanks for the sympathy ^_^

I'm so sorry to hear about that. And of course you should relate - this is your journal and we're your friends list *hugs*
