But I can't buy it until I get home, because Irish/European DVDs won't play in my American computer (something about codes).

I completely sympathise with you! PotC doesn't come out in Australia until sometime after Christmas - don't even know when, just know that it's after! :o( I even wanted to order one from amazon.com, but nope, can't work because of the code problem that you have too. Ick. Not fair. When can you go home to get it?

The 22nd of December--but I won't really be in a mall-going position (since home is about an hour's drive from the closest mall where one can buy DVDs) until January, when I go back to college in Viriginia.

I don't think I can wait that long. I may end up renting it from one of the DVD/vidieo places here, despite the fact that I lack any fellow fangirls in Cork to wach it with me.
