Even the random het crack one I only started shipping because it completes the Gamzee/Karkat/Terezi/Dave quadrangle/OT4. And the Cult of the Mirthful Messiahs does indeed predate the Scratch in some form, just like it did in my head-fanon.
Okay, Eridan♠Sollux and Kanaya auspistizing between Karkat and himself still aren't canon, and we haven't yet gotten to see Jake English wearing the Page Godtier GoldenAge!Robin-style panties, but I have faith that Jake English in bright yellow Robin panties is something Andrew Hussie might very well actually draw/write/animate-into-annoying-strobing-flashes.
Also, the pre-Sratch ancestors just continue to be hilarious tumblr-parodies (seanchai is sad about the mini-ancestor canon pairings, though, because they break up her desire to ship capricorn/cancer and so forth across generations and timelines. This amuses me, because she doesn't even read the comic. She's never even read fic for it. I had to tell her which character all the Homestuck cosplayers at NYCC were supposed to be - except for Dave, for some reason she always recognized Dave. Her entire engagement with Homestuck is hearing me talk about it, so the fact that she fangirls Kurloz/Kankri and Highblood/Sufferer without even knowing what any of those characters look like and based entirely on seeing the Karkat & Gamzee shooshpap panel this one time is really ridiculously cute).
