OMG, MODOK! Simon's volume 3 powers, and original costume! Cosmic cube! Tony being the Tony Stark the rest of the business world knows and hates! (Hi, I'll play with this tech thingy the entire time I'm speaking to you and never make eye contact. Oh, or explain how I'm not actually stealing your company from you. Then I'll be bitchy to Hank) Ooh, and they remembered that the Grim Reaper is Simon's brother! OMG, and the SHIELD barber shop!!!! And Jan called Thor "Big Guy!"
All the stuff where Fury wasn't in WWII was annoying, much like the persistent coloring!fail with Tony's eyes, but putting my hands over my ears and chanting "Hi, Steve! Remember me from WWII?" "Nick! You're, um, not old." "Long story. I saved your Harley from the war! I remember you and never grew up hear stories about you at all because the guy in WWII was me, Sergeant Nick Fury," while I just looked at the barber shop and Fury's awesome character design helped.
On the other hand, Hank and Tony bickering are adorable. Hank's science geekery while fighting Simon is adorable, and I love how Tony just keeps unintentionally makes things worse, and Steve leaping in on a motorcycle to save him (from the disaster Tony basically caused).
And I love how Thor can't focus on anything but how weird MODOK looks. "It is... a giant head. Like a frost giant's head on an infant's body. prepare your giant head to meet my hammer!" And how well he and Jan work together, in classic "let's attack first and ask questions later" early Avengers style.
So, given the Ultron references and the way the Simon storyline turned out... we can has Vision now?
