No, seriously, it's massive amounts of fun. I don't at all regret seeing it with my Mom instead of Secret Window or Hidalgo (teh funneh won out over teh pretteh). It's enough like the original show that my mom (who apparently used to have a crush on Hutch back in the day--him and Ilya Kuryakin) liked it, and funny enough that it lived up to my (Zoolander-based) expectations. Plus, teh slash vibes. Teh spit-take inducing slash vibes.
Ex:
Starsky (discussing two girls): "I like blondes."
Hutch (who, BTW, is blond): "Great! 'Cause I'll sleep with anything."
Elspeth: *chokes on Diet Coke and dies*
If that's not enough, Snoop Dog plays Huggy. Y'all have to go see this movie just for the sight of him in 70-style pimp gear. Complete with multicoloured fur coat.
