My computer shall soon be on it's way! *dances about in glee* My Dad has emailed me to say that it has arrived in St. Mary's City, and will shortly be enroute to Cork. Once again, I can stay up until three AM typing instead of gong to bed at ten o' clock like the social-life free nerd I am.
In other news, I am greatly enjoying the Irish mythology section of my Irish lit. class. I took more notes in class yesterday than I've done since Cunningham's Chaucer class (fellow Cunningham veterans will know that that means a shitload of notes). Alas, I fear that the next section, in which we read Edna O'Brien's The Country Girls (which is like to drown in its own depressingness) will not be as fun. And then, joy! we can read the Blasket Diaries (in translation, not Gaelic). I've heard that Peig is absoluely horrid, but fortunately we're reading Twenty Years a Growing instead. Hopefully, it's less horrid.
On the other hand, I'm greatly looking forward to the trip to Inis Meain at the end of the month.
Now to fandom related news--I'm nearly finished with the twelfth chapter of the steadily more soap-opera-like "A Pirate's Life." More angst! More melodrama! More gratuitous descriptions of sexy Captain Jack Sparrow!

*dances* Yay! I've been waiting patiently, honestly I have. I even manage to squeeze out two chapters of my own Pirates fic in the process. But I wasn't going to be able to hold out too much longer. :) *laughs*
Sounds like you're having fun though.

Mary Rose isn't quite as entertaining, but both her and Will's takes on Jack's capture are now up on Pirategasm in the form of chapter twelve.
