Must not buy entire works of Terry Pratchett. Must not buy entire works of Terry Pratchett. I already own about half the Discworld novels in American edition; I don't need to own them all in British edition as well. Still, y'all have no idea how close I came to buying Wyrd Sisters instead of one of my textbooks.
Shout out to the Love Ray (tm) crew: I have discovered the real life conterpart to Durouka ball (the sport that has over 800 rules, 200-some of which involve things you are not allowed to do to the referee). Gaelic football. It's like this weird combination of soccer, basketball, and American football, only twice as complicated as any of them. Perhaps because of this comparison, I had this dream last night that I was Duke (this was followed by a Trigun dream. I think my brain is begging me for something to read besides Charles Dickens).
In other news, the appartment we five are staying in may possibly be the most ghetto appartment in Ireland. The the oven doesn't work right, the hot water heate doesn't work, period, and the washer/drier machine doesn't dry your clothes completely and has to be bludgeoned into giving them back when it's done.
