Resurrection-verse fic #3 is now three scenes away from completion, and still does not have a title. I don't think we've ever gotten so far into a fic without coming up with a name for it before. King of Infinite Space was title-less until the second-to-last chapter, but this thing is now 39,000 words long, and is still nameless.

The fourth and final fic in the 'verse already has a name despite not even having an outline yet, but this one... *kicks it*

Edit: "Hostages to Fortune," maybe? It gets the family and fear themes, and even kind of leads into the probability/chaos stuff planned for further down the line, if you stretch it a bit.

Boo to the namelessness, but shameless yay to the existence of new Resurrection-verse fic.

I had the same problem with my remix fic this year. Finally I just picked a song title from my playlist. Shh, don't tell.

With Roughest Day and King of Infinite Space, we looked up literary quotes, and "Things Are Looking Up" is the title of a Billie Holliday song. We may end up resorting to quotes with this one, too.

My remix is named after, of all things, an old timey song and a line from Shakespeare. Cracktastic, I know.

Is Roughest Day Macbeth? ("Time and the hour run through the roughest day.")

You got it! I was never entirely sure about that title, since it's such an oblique reference. I guess I should have more faith, we've got a very smart fandom, after all :)

::hugs fic after being kicked::

well... you could look up archaic names for its main topic... isn't this one about fear?

Sadly, I am out of Civil War/Southern History in-jokes (at least, out of ones that would make good fic titles). We can't think of anything quite right that starts with "Re-", either, so we're probably going to have to abandon the "Re-" title theme for this fic.

I like the title, and it also sums up the scope of everything's that happened to the gang since the Civil War, the events prior and Steve's resurrection.
