Courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] harmonyangel. on this post. I will choose seven userpics from you profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

And here are the ones she chose of mine:

Defaukt icon
Default icon: Elizabeth Swann, cropped from a drawing by ponderosa121. My real name is Elizabeth, and what with all the blond hair, this picture looks vaguely like me, so.
Schu icon
Old default icon, from my first days on lj. It’s manga art of Weiss Kruez villain Schuldig, which someone whose name I have forgotten retouched so that his hair and eye-color matched the anime. I had my hair died red then, in order to cosplay Schuldig at Katsucon, so, again, it looked vaguely like me.
Mael icon
Captain Ishmael “One Eye” Maelstrom, male protagonist of my undergraduate English thesis (he’s the reason one of my lj interests is “orblessness”). He lives in an alternate version of the 18th century and is a pirate-turned-merchantman who does a thriving business in smuggled rum on the side, and is a devotee of “The Cult of the Drowner,” a religion which worships the personification of the ocean. He’s soul-bonded to his ship (a 100-foot brigantine called the Maelstrom).
Odelia icon
Odelia Sheldon, also from English thesis-fic. Blonde, naïve, and self-absorbed daughter of a colonial army officer, travelling home from alternate!India for a season in alternate!London. She’s the female lead’s half-sister.
Rashid icon
Rashid ibn Moulay al-Marraqeshi, cargo master of the Maelstrom. He’s the younger son of a Moroccan trading family who ran away to sea to make his fortune. Instead, he ended up on a foreign smuggling ship with a captain who worships demons. It’s still better than working for his older brothers.
Egyptology icon
This one is from [livejournal.com profile] seanchai, and is related to an original fiction project of ours (an Amelia Peabody/The Mummy rip-off set in early 1920s Egypt). Camel because it’s Egypt, airplane because on of the characters is a WWI pilot, and Egyptology! because it’s the title of the book.
Steve&Tony icon
Icon by [livejournal.com profile] seanchai. Steve & Tony, from Brubaker’s Winter Soldier arc, drawn by Epting. I love how sullen Steve looks in this panel.

It was! I got to read it, because I refused to leave her room sometimes. I really think it was as good as Ann Randali, but you know without actual historical events. :)
