List the first five OTPs that come into your head, but preferably from different fandoms.

1. Steve/Tony (Marvel)
2. Buffy/Spike (BtVS)
3. Sirius/Remus (HP)
4. Wyatt/Doc (Tombstone and historical RPS)
5. Gambit/Rogue (X-Men)

I thought about including Jack/Will/Elizabeth, but I think OTPs might be cheating.

1. When did you first fall in love with ship number 1?

This February, when I mainlined all of Civil War, the NA Bendis stuff, and about 100 issues of Iron Man. The 1998 Iron Man/Captain America Annual was what first started me seriously shipping them, but it was Civil War itself (and Iron Man #172) that made the pairing own my soul.

And then The Confession came out, and they became a) canon, at least on Tony's part and b) my all-time OTP forever. I love it when my OTPs are canon. It gives me this great sense of validation.

2. When did you fall in love with ship number 5?

Way back when I was a 12-year-old girl watching the old, 90s X-Men cartoon. The first episode I saw had Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine going skiing and meeting Nigtcrawler. He was cool, and had what are still the best eyes I've ever seen in SF. She was pretty, and the only superhero I'd ever seen with a southern accent. Their love was angsty and banter-filled. I was sold.

3.What is your favorite moment of ship number 3?

The part in the shrieking shack in PoA when Remus "embraces Sirius like a brother."

4. What will the ship be if you take the boy from ship 2 and the girl from ship 1 and mesh them? If one or both of the ships are slash, then pick and choose.

Tony is indisputably the girl of ship 1, so... Tony/Spike. It would consist of one self-destructive, drunken night back during Tony's suicidal alcoholic phase, and I really don't know who would be on top. Neither of them is exactly dominant in relationships.

5. Vise versa.

Steve/Buffy would be kind of like Steve and Sharon, actually. Except that Buffy, not having grown up hearing all about Steve awesomeness, would not be impressed by the whole Captain America thing. He'd try to be protective and chivalrous, she'd try to boss him around, and they'd end up breaking up after a screaming fight during which she punched him in the jaw. Which I think Steve and Sharon may also have done once.

Buffy/Tony would work much better. She's blonde, has a forceful personality and something of a hero/martyr complex, and could beat him up. He's older than her and has a bucket-full of issues. All you'd have to do ia make Tony undead, and they'd be perfect together.

6. What's your favorite moment for ship 4?

For Tombstone, the scene at the end where Doc and Wyatt say goodbye to one another. I cry like a weepy Victorian girl every time I see it. In real life, the bit in Bat Masterson's description of Doc wherein he says that "Holliday's entire heart and soul were bound up in Wyatt Earp." Ah, Victorian men.

7. How long was there between the time you got into the fandom and the time you started shipping ship number 3?

Almost immediately. I discovered HP fandom in late 2001, as soon as I got to college and got my first ever internet access (it was my first introduction to fandom and fanfic). The first fic I ever read was Al's "Snitch," followed by RJ Anderson's "The Potionmaster's Apprentice." I'm pretty sure the third fic was Remus/Sirius (I know I found the ship within two weeks of finding fandom), and I was sold on the ship immediately.

8. When did you start shipping ship number 4?

I loved the movie as a fourteen-year-old proto-slasher, but I didn't start actively shipping them until I watched it again in college. They became one of my OTPs my senior year, when [livejournal.com profile] seanchai and I began doing historical research for our Tombstone fic.

9. Take three random people from three of the ships and create an OT3?

Buffy/Remus/Rogue. They could be their own demon-killing and evil-fighting team. Buffy and Rogue could have bed-breaking superpowered sex, and Remus could be their watcher. Rogue always reminded me a little bit of Angel anyway, with the whole woe-is-me-I-must-remain-alone-billowy-cloak-queen-of-pain thing.

10. Rank your OTPs in order.

In chronological order:
Rogue/Gambit (from the age of 12)
Sirius/Remus (from fall '01)
Wyatt/Doc (from January '02)
Spike/Buffy (from Fall '03)
Steve/Tony (this year)

In order of importance, with #1 being most-overly-emotionally-invested-in and #5 being a healthy level of emotional investment.

1) Steve/Tony (because the levels of over-identification are unhealthily high)
2) Rogue/Gambit (because I've shipped them for over a decade)
3) Remus/Sirius (because they were my first)
4) Wyatt/Doc
5) Buffy/Spike
