Between the two of us,
seanchai and I spent over $20 dollars at the comic store. We officially spend almost as much on comics as we do on food. It's sad, really.
X-Men: So, we're supposed to believe there's a chance in hell that Scott and Emma are dead? Come on, Carey. They (and Rogue) are about as dead as Cable, whom I'd bet hard cash is coming back. Bobby and Canonball's storyline was really cute, though -- I like the friendship that's being set up between the two of them. However, I'm starting to get tired of the overly-cutesy art.
Cable and Deadpool was, as expected, Cable-less, but it had high amounts of Deadpool & Weasel love, plus more of Bob, Agent of Hydra. Bob, Agent of Hydra is love.
Iron Fist: Totally Danny-less, and complete filler before Brubaker and Fraction get into the cities of heaven arc, but it's entertaining and well done filler. Brubaker chanels "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" for about 23 pages.
Iron Man: My love for Dugan's kickassness continues to grow. And mostly-naked!Tony shackled to a wall is never a bad thing. Comminucating with Dugan via the Extremis causes him excruciating pain! Aliens torture him! Also, he's mostly naked! Agent Quatermain is actually almost relevant to the plot! And though I know Tony's last-resort plan isn't going to be put into action (too many important characters would die, for one thing), it amuses me that it's such a typical Tony plan. "Quick! Let's try the completely untested science/tech thing that will probably kill me! Deathwish? What deathwish?"
Mighty Avengers: Okay, this whole issue is just yet another demonstration of why Tony and Hank should never be left alone in science labs without supervision. Of course Tony has satellites that control the weather. Of course Ultron has hacked them and turned them evil. Oh, Tony, you never learn, do you? Also, Hank is adorable, Carol is awesome, and I love how gratuitously violent Ares is. I'm sad to see Lindy go, though. I kind of liked her, and Sentry's already been through enough hideous mental trauma for one lifetime.
