It's one of my days to be unappologetically and loudly Christian (the other being Christmas Eve).
I love Easter. Lots. Enough that it even calmed down my building panic over the research project due next week (the project I really ought to have spent the seven hours total I've spent at church over the past three days working on).
I come by my hardcore kink for characters dying/being presumed dead and then coming back honestly--through a childhood and adolescence of serious indoctrination via Holy Week.
Unfortunately, I've also spent a great deal of time in fandom and on the internet, and therefore now have to fight the desire to go through today proclaiming things like, "Rejoice! Zombie Jesus rises from the grave!"
And to continue with the Jesus theme, I'm offering a choice of two links:
Link A) The 118th psalm.
I shall not die, but live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.
The Lord has chastened me sorely, but he has not given me over to death.
...The stone which the builders rejected
has become the chief corner stone.
This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Link B) For those who are tired of hearing about Christianity in general and Jesus in particular today, the lyrics to "Plastic Jesus".
Excerpt: I don't care if it rains or freezes
'Long as I got my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
Through my trials and tribulations
And my travels through the nations
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far
And it goes on from there, to include other religiously-themed car ornaments such as plastic Moses, magnetic Mary, and ceramic Satan.

Food for thought.

In a way, the Borg are the perfect Christians--they truly do love their neighbors as themselves, because they eventually make their neighbors themselves.
