This weekend has just been one aesthetic experience after another. On Friday night, my Mom and I went to one of the St. Mary's River Concerts (held at St. Mary's College every Friday during June & july) and heard Beethoven's 5th Symphony, and Saint-Saens' Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso and Danse Macabre--if they managed to fit in Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King and the "Dies Irae" from Mozart's Requiem mass, they would have played all of my favourite classical music in one evening. As it was, they just played most of it.

Then, last night, we went to a party at the Daytons' house (Jim Dayton, who owns the county airport) to see the fireworks that the fire department lets off over the river there the weekend before the fourth of July.
