fabu. They just didn't want to have sex today for some reason, so they're playing with pointy things instead.
Will watched, eyes glued to the battle in front of him as Jack's cutlass swung around and down in what would have been a killing stroke, only to be halted with a loud crash as his opponent's sword came up to block it.
"Very good," Jack grinned, and he took a step forward and backed said opponent into the mainmast, pinning the smaller fighter in place. "Except now I've got you trapped." He began to force the two crossed swords downward, closer to his opponent's face. "So, how are you goin' to get out of this?"
And that was when Elizabeth jabbed her knee upward, snatched Jack's cutlass out of his suddenly nerveless fingers, and set the edge of her own sword against his throat. "Like this, Mr. Sparrow." She smirked, the expression startlingly similar to Jack's own grin of moments before. "I win."
Will nearly cringed in sympathetic pain. "Elizabeth! You can't do that. That's cheating."
"I'm a pirate," Elizabeth reminded him. "We're supposed to cheat." She lowered her sword again and handed Jack's cutlass back to him. He accepted it with a poisonous glare, as if he were seriously contemplating hitting her with it. Will couldn't blame him.
"That was very clever," Jack hissed between gritted teeth. "And if you ever do it again, you can find a new cabin to sleep in."
"Sorry?" Elizabeth offered. She didn't look very sorry. She looked, in fact, distinctly proud of herself, probably because this was the first time Will had ever seen her beat Jack in a fencing lesson.
Jack didn't even dignify that with an answer. He spun around and stalked away from her, limping slightly, and thrust the cutlass into Will's hand. "From now on," he announced, "you can teach her."
