The Lord is risen indeed. Hallelujah!

Yay! I love Easter. Candy, and Easter Vigils, and Singing Bach chorals and great 19th century Easter hymns.

Of course, when you have to get up at 4:30 am to sing at the 5:30 sunrise service, then sing at the 11:00 mass, then get in the car to drive six hours to Roanoke, it's a long Jesus day. Especially since every radio station between St. Mary's County and Hollins that wasn't playing newsfeeds about the Schiavo case or play-by-plays of the NCAA tournament was playing bluegrass music about Jesus.

On the positive side, the NCAA tournament was very exciting today--Kentucky took Michigan into double overtime before they lost to them, once via a miracle last-second three-point shot. Tubby Smith's team played a great game, which partially makes up for the pain of watching Duke lose to Wisconsin.
