The scenery porn and costume porn are two of my favorite things about the show. I could happily stare at closeups of the musketeers' embossed leather arm-protector-thingies for hours.

I think that's a question that can only be properly answered via dozens of lovingly detailed h/c fics. Maybe I'll even attempt one once I've seen enough episodes to be confident I can actually write show!Musketeers rather than book!Musketeers wearing the show characters' bodies.* (D'Artagnan and Athos are pretty close, and I've have zero compunctions just handwaving Aramis's calculating side and religious interests in because I doubt any readers would mind, but Porthos is really not the same and also the one where it's most likely to bother people if I get him wrong).
*And once the Les Mis kink meme fic is finished. One historical research time-suck at a time.
