I'd been sort of mentally defining published as "fiction where I have to pay money in order to read it," which includes stuff like Loose ID and Torquere's ebooks, but not stuff like The Administration or the orignal yaoi fiction you can find on various LJ comms and webpages (palace of the keys, etc), which is available for free.
