Seanchai and I are both fine - our part of Brooklyn didn't flood or lose power. We didn't even lose internet (everyone else in our neighborhood lost their cable, but since we don't have cable to begin with, it didn't affect us).
The rest of NYC, on the other hand, is an unholy mess. Something like 20-25% of the city has no power, and the subway system is still shut down. The subway lines under the East River flooded, which means we're going to be cut off from Manhattan for days until they get them pumped out and repaired. (I think they've opened the bridges again, and the BQE, but atm the only way to get anywhere in New York City is by car).
