In other extremely obvious news, the East River is wet

Is it just me, or is this just about the stupidest article you've seen in the NYT in... okay, the NYT has lots of stupid articles, so I can't come up with a good timeframe, but seriously, how is "Manhattan is full of skinny rich people obsessed with their appearance & weight" news?

My favorite part is the guy quoted who says he doesn't want to appear "fatist," but also feels the need to tell you how disgusted he is by "people in other states" who are so fat that they "can’t get through the airport without a wheelchair." Newsflash: if you don't want to look like you're biased against people based on their weight, maybe you shouldn't go on and on about how disgusting fat people are.
