So, I am currently co-writing a genderswap fic, something I've never done before, and one of the things we want to explore in it is that, while the character in question is suddenly possessed of a female body, he's still, basically, male. He thinks of himself as male, people still use the male pronoun to refer to him, and he's faced with the prospect of living the rest of his life as a woman (he eventually changes back, but he doesn't know that he's going to at the time).

Does anyone have any genderswap recs that deal well with, essentially trans issues and issues of gender-as-defined-by-perception/society? Not ones where the character decides to accept their new body and gender and learn to be feminine/masculine, but where they continue to perceive themselves as the same gender as before, regardless of what kind of naughty bits they now have? And it's written well without resorting to "now that he's a girl, he'll of course want to go shopping and find himself just *drawn* to pretty clothes and feminine things?" stupidity?

Alternatively, does anyone have any recs where a character is genderqueer to some extent to begin with (probably unbekownst to the rest of the cast, in most canons) and is actually pleased and thrilled to find themselves suddenly posessing the body of the opposite sex? Because that has nothing to do with the fic we're writing at all, but I've never seen it and it would be cool.

Also wanted: genderswap fic that's het-temporarily-become-femslash rather than involving two guys. Rules 63 and 34 of the internet mean that there must be Rogue/rule63!Gambit femmslash out there somewhere.
