Arg!

The cd/dvd drive in my laptop will not work, no matter how many times I repeatedly stick the cd in.

Why does everything I own suck?!? (oh, right, Because I can't afford to fix it/replace it)

And, okay, I'm only trying to watch Starsky & Hutch, but once do that I need to burn photos onto a disk to mail them to Classic Dirt Track, and the drive won't register blank cds either.

DVD works. Burning CD, still a bust.

But hey, who cares if the important part works? I'm watching my DVD.

ETA: Actual dialogue from episode:

GirloftheEpisode: *with great astonishment* "You two really are straight!"
Hutch: "Yeah, how about that?"
Starsky: "Well, in a kinky kinda way."

Okay, okay, she meant "straight" as in "honest" or "on the level." The slasher part of my brain doesn't care.

ETA #2: And in my universe, when you fix someone their favorite meal and invite them over for a candlelit dinner for two? Not platonic. Especially not if you suggest watching the sunset together before hand.
