You know your family is obsessed with basketball when you come home to find one NCAA game playing on tv and another, completely different, game playing on the radio. *eyeroll* And my Mom is still resentful over Boston College joining the ACC, which previously did not contain any colleges from as far north as New England; she was irritated to turn on the Boston-Georgia Tech game and discover that Boston had already painted the ACC logo on their gym floor. Apparently, it's just what one should expect from opportunistic Yankee interlopers.
And on that note,
pixyofthestyx, I've pretty much gotten to the end of season one of Lonesome Dove (only two episodes left, and I almost don't want to watch them because then I'll have seen all of the show there is to see). In this latest episode, a troop of US Cavalry swing through town, and Call (in his new capacity as deputy) has to lock Mosby up for trying to murder their commander. This involves Call and Mosby having several intense conversations laden with unnecesary eye-contact. Ah, I love it when the writers decide it's time to remind the viewers again that Mosby has issues and a thing for Call.
I've gotten all the way to the end of the less slashy but just as fun SGA dvds, and now must rely on the sci-fi channel for new pilot and engineer crack. Why, why must this cursed goddamn dial-up confine me to a life as the only person in fandom who has to obtain SGA legally instead of downloading it?
