So. Roberts is now Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. After being on it for, like, a month. Yeah, make the new guy the youngest Chief Justice in two centuries, instead of choosing somebody who’s been on the Supreme Court long enough to actually have some experience with it. Way to go, Congress.

Of course, he could turn out to do a great job. The fact that a significant number of Democrats voted for him bodes well—he didn’t get the position solely on the strength of party loyalty.

Angel in DC Bones continues to be watchable (my love for the lab assistants/minions grows with each episode), and this week’s episode pleasantly surprised me by having a plot twist other than the one I suspected (the trailers said it had sex scandals and a hanging victim at a private school, so I was thinking autoerotic asphyxiation, when instead it was blackmail tapes, pedophilia, and murder). On the other hand, it also had a black woman serving as the sheriff of PG county (Prince George County, Maryland, for those not from the DC area). I’m guessing they didn’t want a character too much like PG County’s real (male) sheriff, but still… Both minority and a woman? Pull the other one, Fox writers. It’s got bells on.

Oh, and how come I never realised that P.N. Elrod's Jack Flemming books were slashy until I listened to one on booktape? I never wanted to slash Jack and Escott when I read the novels (possibly because Jack's canon girlfriend Bobbie the nightclub singer rocks), but hearing the dialogue aloud? Damn, Escott is so flirting with Jack. Well, flirting for Escott. Jack's not flirting back, but then, he's kind of oblivious about that kind of thing.
