Really. The Departmant of Homeland Security said so.

Fear not, my fellow Americans. I, Elspethdixon, have now been trained by the Department of Homeland Security's flight training and airport safety program to recognize suspicious behaviour on the part of airplane renters, student pilots, and random people who loiter in airports. Rest assured, no terrorists will be crashing the St. Mary's County Piedmont Flight Center's planes into the Calvert Cliffs nuclear power plant at any point in the near future. Not unless they're terrorists with valid US Passports or immigration documents who can pay their rental contracts in full and file a proper flight plan beforehand.

The training program took twenty minutes. They didn't even test me on the questions at the end. Fortunately, the St. Mary's airport also follows the Jim Dayton rule of airplane rental--if Jim doesn't trust you, you can't rent his planes.
