Happy orbsocket day, y'all. May your guns never run out of bullets, your guitar never go out of tune, and your eyeballs remain intact ^_^. Also, may any ghosts that visit you be good ones.

In honour of the Day of the Dead, I am dressed as Spike, black nail polish, shiney burgundy shirt, and all. And, of course, it was only as I was putting on my leather collar with spikes on this morning that I realised that this past Sunday was All Saint's Day sunday and I missed it because I didn't go to church--of course, I didn't go because I was busy in the wake of [livejournal.com profile] lauderdale's car accident, but still, sadness. I have to wait another year to sing "For All the Saints Who From Their Labours Rest."

Also, it's election day. Go vote. Vote for Kerry, vote for Bush, vote for Nader, vote for whoever, but make sure you go out and vote.

I, of course, already did so last week by absentee ballot. *sighs* Since I was five years old I've wanted to step inside one of those old school voting booths and pull the little levers and toggles. Now, I'm finally old enough to vote and what do I get to do? Fill in bubbles with a no. 2 pencil, just like on the SATs. Still, I got to vote for the congressman who gave my sister her Air Force Academy nomination, and that was fun. And for Senator Mikulski, since she opposes the Federal Mariage Amendment. And for the guy on the St. Mary's County school board who's daughter I went to high school with. Ah, machine politics, you are alive and well in Southern Maryland.
