Woohoo! I wore my decorated robe, popped open my cheap champagne ($4 at Krogers) and sprayed it everywhere, and took my first step onto front quad, which I can now walk on, because I'm a SENIOR!

In the past two days I've unpacked, bought my books, gotten my Circleville article check cashed, and and gone to the campus health people to see about the weird-ass lumps on the side of my neck that showed up last week. It turns out that I do not have bubonic plague, leukemia, or a thyroid disorder (the only things I could think of that gave you lumps on your neck), but instead probably have mono. They're doing a blood test to see for sure. In the meantime, I can't share cups or eating utensils with anyone, or kiss anyone (moot point really, since I have no boyfriend or girlfriend).

I went out for my first cross country practice today (still with champagne dried into my hair), and did pretty well considering that I haven't been running nearly enough this summer. I didn't tell my coach about the possible mono, though I'm getting a sport physical tomorrow when I go in to get my blood test results.

Our first meet is on Friday. Go HU X-C!
