(no subject)

Y'know, I must have seen Star Wars* at least a dozen times, if not more. Probably more. I think the only movies I've seen more often are The Princess Bride and Chitty-chitty Bang-Bang. I can quote entire sections of dialogue from that film. Why did it only occur to me today that the names "Luke Skywalker" and "Han Solo" have metaphorical meaning? I mean, I figured out that "Darth Vader" did years ago, once I found out that "darth" was German for "dark."

*note: by "Star Wars" I mean the first movie, episode IV. The other ones I all call by their official titles.
