I went to see Hidalgo today with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
figliaperduta and enjoyed it a great deal despite the slight heavy-handedness of some of the movie's themes. Basically, it was like a Marguerite Henry novel turned into a long movie, only with more violence and lots of nice shots of Viggio Mortenson. Somewhat limited slash potential, but lots of nice equine goodness.
Actually, bits of it reminded me a lot of some of the better Vin-centric fics out there in the Mag7 fandom--just fill in "Hidalgo" for "Peso."
