The Bad:
Ah, the glories of Valentine’s Day. The Hollins Theatre Department is putting on The Play That Must Not be Named (no, not Macbeth, “The Vagina Monolgues” *gags *), everyone else on my hall is getting ready to go out with their boyfriends, the Hollins anime club is at Katsucon (without me, as they said that, and I quote “We just don’t have room for you. Sorry.”), and here I sit, with neither boyfriend, nor girlfriend, nor the opportunity to dress up as Schuldig and blow tons of money on doujinshi.
The Good:
My only consolation is smutty Valentine’s Day fic and art posts. And kitties and bunnies, like the ones here.
The UglyTeh Weirdly Ironic:
So, instead of heading up route 81 to DC for Katsucon yesterday, I went with some other Hollins and Roanoke College students to a retreat thingy for Christian college students (heavy emphasis on the Catholic/Anglican/Lutheran branch of Christianity, as it was run by the JMU Catholic Campus Ministry). It was thought provoking and fun, though not as much fun as dressing up as a male anime character and going to panel discussions on yaoi would have been.
They say the sign of a truly great mind is being able to believe in two conflicting ideas at once.
Anglican/Bisexual/Republican/Slash-fan/English Major/History Major/Motorcycle Race Reporter/Fanfic writer/WWII history scholar/otaku… If I generate any more weird dichotomies, my great mind may explode.
