Yesterday, my Sci-Fi films of the 1950s class watched The Blob. I think it's my favourite film so far (well, maybe, second favourite, after Creature From the Black Lagoon), and not simpy because of the bouncy little not-quite-rock&roll song at the beginning. Though the song was awfully cool.
Interesting thought: The Blob, the original teen horror flick, was Steve McQueen's break through into stardom. Nightmare on Elm Street, cheesy '80s teen horror flick, was Johnny Depp's first movie. How many other famous actors/actresses started in horror films? Because there seems to be a trend going here.
