All Saints' Day & All Souls' Day

Today is November first, All Saints' Day, when you honour all Christian saints (yep, all ten thousand plus of them). Tomorrow, November second, is All Souls' Day, when you remember and pray for all those who died in the past year. In particular, I'm remembering Robert "Bob" Hoh and Nancy Lowry. Bob, a former Harley Davidson tuner who worked with my Dad at motorcycle races for years and probably knew more about Harley KR engines than any man alive, died this sumer of cancer, and Nancy, my cat, who's been my closest friend since I was six years old, died this fall of thyroid disease, shortly after I left for Ireland. I'm going to miss both of them.
