Well, thanks to the fact that my Mom just ordered a Mini Cooper (it's going to be built to our specs and shipper to us, like a Gateway computer only more expensive), my Dad and I got to see the premiere of The Italian Job in Richmond tonight. It rocked! Not only was it a great caper flick (flim where a person or group of people steal something or trick someone in an incredably complicated and slick way), but the Mini really was the star of the movie. They drove those things down steps, into subway tunnels, through storm drains... All sorts of places that ordinary cars couldn't fit.

And since I've been way to immersed in Marvel-verse lately, thanks to X2 and X-Men Evolution, I immediately (as in, fifteen minutes into the movie) started to think about how great it would be if someone wrote a fanfic fuseing this baby with X-Men. John (the Donald Sutherland character) would be Jean Luc LeBeau, his protege, who leads the scam, would be Gambit, the computer hacker would be Shadowcat, the British guy would be Pete Wisdom, the tough-looking mechanic who joins last minute would be Wolverine, and the girl would be Belladonna. I'm not sure who the explosives expert and the villain ought to be, but given a day or two, I bet I can come up with something.

Great quote, that reminded me very much of Remy: "There are two kinds of thieves, those who steal to enrich their lives, and those who steal to define their lives. Don't be the second kind."
