Okay, here's the promised scoop on ADA--as everyone at Hollins probably already knows, one of the ADA Spuds (girls rushing ADA) was told to dress up as Fat Albert for a skit. Fine. No problem there--you put on the red shirt, the stupid hat, ect. But no, not content with a simple costume, she decided that it would be a great idea to perform her skit in blackface. Apparently, it never occured to the little ditz that someone might be offended by this. WTF? Was she raised in a cave? To make things worse, not content with performing this little minstrel show deal at lunch, she repeated the performance later. Anyway, of course people were offended, some of them deeply so, and a discrimination forum was called, ADA was put on probabtion, and all sorts of shit went down.
*blinks* Apparently, the ADA queen even told the spuds not to put this skit on, but they decided to do it anyway. I have decided that they're all oblivious pearl girls.
On a more positive note, I'm in the process of wrapping up my school work for the year, and should be going home in a week or so. This has both positive and negative aspects--no school, I get to see my pets, my room will be bigger, but I'll lose my 24/7 internet access again, and will no longer be within walking distance of a library and a gym.
For mindless entertainment, I reccommend to y'all the jigsaw puzzles at Demented Minds. Solve th epuzzles, and when you're done, look at the finished pictures of Weiss Kreuz, Saiyuki, and Angel Sanctuary Bishounen.
