Ultimates fails so much because it could have been so interesting instead of...what it is. The way the fucked over everyone backstories I'm surprised they didn't make Steve's origins modern (but that would have made him more interesting and would so be stealing my fic idea).
Even skrull!Pym wasn't all that evil (though bless it's alien heart it did try).
Randomly: Hank would have heart failure if he met the Transformers, it'd probably also be yelling "I didn't do it!" (I love Ant-Man.)
Oh! I need to post parts the Avengers Fairy Tales issue on Scans_daily I think. It has Pym just wanting a son, and Vision as Pinocchio.
