I feel your pain. This is my current university situation:
Me: *telephones* I want to register for a course that requires an instructor signature but I am currently on the other side of Canada. Can you do that for me? Student Services: That course requires the instructor's signature. Me: Yes, I did read that, however I am on the other side of Canada. Surely you don't expect me to fly all the way to Ontario to get this signature. Student Services: That course requires the instructor's signature. Me: *groans* But the instructor is listed as TBA! How do I obtain the instructor's signature when I am on the other side of Canada and you don't even know who the instructor is going to be? Student Services: Yes. That course requires the instructor's signature. Me: *curses and hangs up*
