I love what we get to see of Tony's mind, here (especially all the Extremis broadcasts) - and I really appreciate, throughout the fic, the fact that you manage to make Tony sympathetic without ever claiming that every single thing he did was right. This is a man who has made some mistakes, but usually for the right reasons, and whose guilt and self-sacrificial tendencies make him absolutely impossible to hate.
That pretty much sums it up in a nut shell -- Tony has made some massive mistakes in his life, sometimes, like with CW, because he was trying to do the right thing in a way that wasn't necessarily right, and sometimes just because he's a deeply screwed up human being. But he always feels utterly horrible for screwing up -- often out of proportion to the actual mistake. But Tony always tries.
Also, the bits with Dugan and Fury were inordinately fun to write.
