I'm sure that's the excuse he offered the first time Matt whined about it. "I'm doing you a favor, Matt. It's not really 'giving something up' unless you actually have the chance to turn it down."

The dining hall at my college served barbecue, Italian sausage, or some other form of red meat every single Friday in Lent for four years. It was invariably the best meat they had served all week, too.
