It does, doesn't it. The writer/director was all "This version is my baby. This version has all the Matt-fighting-for-the-little-guy, and the Matt-and-Foggy cuteness, and Matt's life sucking in general. The theatrical version was criticized for not having enough story, and it was probably a valid criticism," while the studeo guy was all "I regret nothing!"
