If CLAMP were to make a manga/anime about the Avengers, which character(s) would end up losing an eye? (keeping in mind that Bucky/Winter Soldier already fulfills the need for a cyborg arm, and that Nick Fury probably doesn't count for angsty/slashy eye-loss purposes).

On the other hand... Jan is totally Tomoyo, so Hank is clearly Sakura, which poses the question of IS CLINT SYAORAN? SOURCES POINT TO OH HELL YES. Okay maybe not in that arrangement. WE WILL MAKE THIS WORK, DAMMIT.

Hank seems to fit better with Tsubasa!Syaoran, in some ways, given the whole clone thing that could be matched with his bipolar disorder and the volume 3 "two Hanks" plotline.

But Jan is definately Tomoyo if we're doing CardCaptor instead of Tsubasa (if she were Tsubasa!Tomoyo, then I suspect Hank would be Sakura and Clint would be... I don't know. I'd almost say Kurogane, except who would be Fei? Neither Mockingbird nor the Black Widow are veru Fei-like).

edit: Seanchai says, yes, Jan is definately Tomoyo, Hank is Sakura, and Clint is Syaoran, in any universe.

Well, if we're getting into Tsubasa... I think the X-Men work better for that. What with the clones and the dying and the alternate realities and all that. Emma Frost is Yuuko, Magneto is Fei Wong Reed, Xavier is Clow Reed. Tell me that doesn't work.

I'm thinking Tony would be Takeshi from CLAMP Campus Defenders, and the Living Armour would be Kentarou. Nokuro is clearly Nick Fury.

Seanchai is a wise being. :D

Also, can I just say, this is a meeting of two of my main fandoms (ex-main, in CLAMP's case) that I NEVER EVER EXPECTED TO SEE. My brain is sort of broken. In a good way.

Are you sure Emma is Yuuko and not Phoenix!Jean, given the undead thing? (and if Emma is Yuuko, which of the X-Men are Watanuki and Doumeki? Kitty and Rachel?)

Or would Jean have to be Tsubasa!Sakura? Given all the clone stuff.

That's what I figured, Jean being TRC!Sakura. I think Scott could pull off TRC!Syaoran, especially Real!Syaoran. And Cloney!Scott would be adorable.

If Emma is Yuuko... yeah, Kitty and Rachel could work. Kitty is totally Watanuki. Illyana is Himawari?

Given the bad luck powers, Ilyana would be a *perfect* Himewari in the X-men version of Tsubasa/XXX (I haven't figured out who she'd be in the Avengers version, though like I said, if Wanda was the Dimension Witch, Billy and Teddy would be a cute Watanuki and Doumeki).

edit: And Kurogane would be Wolverine.

After more seanchai and me discusion about Tsubasa with Jan, Hank, and Clint as Tomoyo, Sakura, and Syaoran, we've decided that an all-Avengers version of Tsubasa would have to feature Steve as Kurogane and Tony as Fei, substituting some kind of tech-based ability and cyborg-ness for magic. Chi would be Jocasta. Ashura-O would be Obediah Stane. Thor would be Mokona, and would create the inter-dimensional portals by spinning his hammer (okay, the entire fusion idea is based on enabling the delicious crack of this concept). Wanda would be the Dimension Witch, Billy and Teddy would be Watanuki and Doumeki, and Vision would be one of the android/constructs in Yuuko's shop. I'm not sure which female YA would be Himewari -- Cassie, probably, because I don't like Kate.

Kang/Immortus would be Fei Wong Reed, because he's fucked extensively with all the Avengers and has time travel powers. (Unless Doom is Fei Wong Reed and Reed Richards is Clow)

And when they went to Acid Tokyo, the X crew would all be the X-Men, at least partially for the pun. Except Xavier and Magneto would be inexplicably young and bishounen, because anime. Magneto would be the classic white-haired evil bishounen with hair down to his waist.

Vision could be the black Mokona? I think Cassie would make a better Zashiki-Warashi, with Kate as the Ame-Warashi. I also support Doom as Faux Wang Fei Wong, and Reed as Clow.

...now I really want to write Acid Tokyo X-Men, god damn. With Magneto as Kamui and Xavier as Fuuma (or possibly vice-versa). I don't know if I can match the others up. It's been a while since I read X.

Maybe I'll just draw it.

That makes the Swordsman Tsubasa!Seshirou! For an older mentor figure who's kind of evil. I'm not sure how the part where he's replaced by a plant clone who then get smarried would translate over. Carol would be Souma, Tsubasa!Tomoyo's butch bodyguard. And Wanda would be Souma's girlfriend who's name I can't remember.

In the service of Crack, I'd be tempted to make Vision one of those androids from Chobits, but that doesn't fit at all character-wise.

You mean Amaterasu? I think that's her name, anyway. But yes. Wanda definitely fits the part. Wolverine is Kurogane, clearly. I'm tempted to say Nightcrawler is Fai, though he's not nearly angsty or gay enough. Damn. Northstar? Fits the sibling angst bill at least. But I'm fairly sure Wolverine and Northstar have no chemistry whatsoever. Damn.

Oh my God, that's beautiful. Clow would probably be a former Sorceror Supreme as well (maybe Yuuko's Ancient One).

I'm torn between Wanda as Amaterasu and Carol as Souma, or Wanda as the Dimension Witch with Billy as Watanuki. Both would be awesome.

Okay, that would be kind of cool too. Billy's not quite spastic enough, or enough in denial at all, but Teddy definitely is laid back enough to be Doumeki. (Though way less stoic, holy shit.)
