The hate crimes bill passed! \0/
I love it when I writer letters to congressmen/senators telling them to vote for a bill and then they actually do and it passes. It gives me a totally unfounded feeling of power.

Dude, now that The Nightmare is over, I've finally got around to reading Warren Ellis's Black Summer, and it's so good, it's the kinda thing that made me wish they had set Civil War in Another Universe, because John Horus and Tom Noir was totally Ellis's stand in for Captain America and Iron Man, although, more on the second and less on the first.
During The Nightmare, I remember reading Krandall Kraus's The Last Days of George W. Bush, and thinking that if it happened, it wouldn't have ended up like THAT.
...I'm still letting out the breath I was holding, when Obama was elected AND it was recognized.
