Veterans Day/Armistice Day snuck up on me this year, so I don't have any fics for it, unless I'm inspired to produce drabbles on my lunch break or something.
Instead, have a link to NARA's collection of photographs from WWI. (Also, World War Two and a special-topic gallery of African-American Women in World War Two).
Sadly, the amazon page for This is Our War, which is a collection of 200+ photographs taken by US soldiers in Iraq, doesn't have a search inside the book function, so I'll just rec it. One of the photos is of a friend-of-the-family's unit, and he gave a copy of the book to my sister when she graduated from the Air Force Academy.
