*grins* It actually was four layers (trenchcoat, purple pinstriped suitjacket, purple pinstriped vest, shirt). I don't know how one would wear that every day, including in the summer. My experiments with Victorian-style men's clothes in college, which also involved multiple layers, were limited to the winter (when four/five layers of clothing and a cravat keep you nice and warm) and that one time I dressed as Doc Holliday for Halloween.
