I'm so glad to read the final chapter. This has been consistently, a wonderful and seamless merge between the two canons.

Thanks so much! I suspect that the fact that I borrowed heavily from the original (including keeping a lot of the original dialogue and as many pieces of narration as I could) probably helped with that.

I'm really glad so many people seem to like the math-covered floor, because that was one of the visual images that I "saw" in my head the most strongly while I was writing this.

I couldn't quite place the spiky armour: was that War Machine?

Nope, just a generic suit of Iron Man armor, made spiky to sound more threatening. Rhodey's one of the good guys, after all (I wish I'd been ableto find a way to work either him or Pepper and Happy into this, but it's really Gerda/Steve's story more than it is Kay/Tony's, hence having Captain America supporting cast show up and not Iron Man characters).
