Grey's Anatomy is the perfect example of TPTB having a lovely 'homophobic' knee jerk reaction. (And yeah, given that several BASCON panels were about the relationship that will killed off the week before the con? That was fun.)

I was a lot more ranty last night after being told in my own journal that I must hate Tony (or am worse than people that hate Tony because I claim to love him) because I had Tony married to Pepper but attracted to Steve in a very clearly marked AU what if story.

On the last thing, I think Moonlighting is a big example of this, the character apart were fun and quirky but once they got together? The show sucked because the characters felt like they'd been gutted. Caroline in the City had this problem somewhat too. Even Babylon 5 was guilty of this to a lesser existent - I hated when Delenn started to be only important as how she relates to Sheridan. This is why if Bones is smart Booth and Bones will never get together.
