Bruce's body is so very damaged. The idea that he wears his sins and his triumphs on his marked skin and broken bones is so like the way Tony wears the Arc Reactor like a badge of honour. Both of them marked by the experience, and I think maybe, Tony came out of it better, well Bruce was damaged beyond repair. It is absolutely fascinating how they are so innately different when so alike.
I love Toonverse!Bruce, and have this crush on JL cartoon Batman. While I thought the Nolan films were good (though the first I found rather, um, meh, while the second felt like 2 films hastily squashed into 2), his Batman and Bruce Wayne is not my Batman or Bruce Wayne. From a comics POV I'm much more a fan of the other members of the Bat clan than Batman itself. I'm terribly in love with Tim, and have the biggest crush on Cass. And it is probably the reason why I can't connect with Miller's Batman because my Batman, while screwed up in the head, have a network of support that will drag him out of his hell even if he doesn't want to leave.
