Headdesk

So, I got up at seven this morning, got ready to head off to internship, and arrived at the FAA building (after the usual 35-minute metro-ride) only to discover that it's Martin Luther King day, and a Federal holiday, and that, of course, the FAA is closed. I can't believe I forgot about something like that.

Though, come to think of it, the fact that I could actually get a good parking spot in the metro station parking lot should have been a clue. That, and the fact that I was the only person on the (half-empty) metro car in a suit.

*g* See, I'm with you on the important dates vs. holidays - my main problem is more that I don't know what the date is TODAY. Or day. I know it's MONDAY because MONDAY is Tai Chi day. But other than that? I got nothing. I'm pretty sure it's still February. Someone would have told me to do inventory if it wasn't *firm nod*

I can remember the important dates: I never forget when it's Wednesday. Which titles are coming ou this week, yes, but not that they'll be on the shelves on Wednesday (I kind of like being surprised when I walk in to the comic store and see what's new).

Hee :) Priorities, I like that ^_________^ Sometimes I'm glad I'm not such a hardcore comics girl that I check all the time, because then I'm always really EXCITED that a bunch of stuff is now out that I wanted but forgot I wanted - but other times I wish I could be that big a dork ;________; being in the know and on top of things sounds so appealing~
